FURNITURE FREIGHT POLICY

  • Determine the zone to which PDB products are to be shipped.
  • Using the map and zone percentages, calculate your fixed freight cost as a net percentage of the total COM LIST. Note that there is a minimum charge for each zone.
  • All shipment charges are based on delivery to commercial locations with loading docks only. Residential or non-commercial deliveries will incur additional charges. Please contact Paul Brayton Designs for information and additional charges on these types of shipments.
  • We utilize Furniture exclusive carriers whenever possible to mitigate the risk of damage to our furniture during transportation. Delivery can take up to 10 working days. If expedited shipping is required, please contact our Customer Service Team or specify a specific “Deliver by Date” at time of order.

Policy

  • Partial shipments may incur additional freight charges.
  • Charges are for normal delivery to a commercial delivery address with a loading dock.
  • If delivery to a non-commercial address is required, purchaser must identify the order will deliver to a non-commercial address at the time the order is placed. Paul Brayton Designs will acknowledge the order with additional delivery fees as needed. Paul Brayton Designs will pass along any additional fees to purchaser if a non-commercial address is provided but not identified at the time of order.
  • All furniture is shipped in cartons. Large cartons or shipments may be palletized.
  • A 'Call Before Delivery' request will be honored at no additional cost provided it is specified on the order.
  • Additional fees such as fuel surcharges, inside delivery, white glove service, etc. may be required.
  • All products are shipped FOB Archdale, NC freight prepaid and added to your invoice / acknowledgement.
  • Title of goods changes when the merchandise leaves PBD's dock. All freight claims are the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • Due to weight and density factors involved in shipping upholstered furniture, there may be situations where a volume discount or a rate higher than the estimator may apply. For large shipments of 30 or more small to medium sized chairs or if 8 or more sofas are involved, contact customer service for a quote;
