FURNITURE CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Use commercial cleanser and polish, according to manufacturer’s directions.
Refer to the specific cleaning instructions recommended by the fabric supplier.
Clean with soap and water. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive household cleanser.
Under normal use, regular dusting and vacuum cleaning is all that is necessary.
For spots and spills, wipe excess liquid immediately with a clean absorbent cloth or sponge. If necessary, use clean lukewarm water only and let air dry. If water is used, clean the entire area where the spot occurred. An example would be the entire seat or the entire arm. Do not dry the wet area with hair dryers, etc.
For stubborn spots and stains, use a mild non-detergent soap solution (Ivory or Neutrogena). Apply the soap to a clean wet sponge and wash, then rinse thoroughly. Let air dry naturally.
For butter, oil, or grease wipe excess off the leather with a clean dry cloth, then leave it alone as the spot will dissipate into the leather in a short period of time. Do not apply water or try to wash the spot.
DO NOT USE Cleaning solvent, furniture polish, oils, varnish, abrasive cleaners, saddle soap or ammonia water.
FAUX LEATHER AND VINYL
Under normal use, clean with soft cloth dampened with water. For spots and stains, refer to the specific cleaning instructions recommended by the fabric supplier.
Under normal use, clean with Windex and soft cotton cloth.
POWDER COAT FINISHES
Chairs and table bases should be cleaned with a liquid detergent and water. Remove stubborn stains with liquid cleanser such as Formula 409®
Gloss Finish is a premium polyurethane paint applied with two coats of primer, two coats of base paint, and two coats of clear coat. It is then hand polished to a high, durable luster. The Gloss Finish may be washed with a light solution of premium car wash and water, then dry and polish with a quality car polish. The Sorrento table with a gloss finish may be used outdoors.
Finishes on chair and table bases should be cleaned with a commercial aluminum polish. After thoroughly rinsing, dry the surface immediately to avoid streak and spots. Aluminum can easily scratch so avoid using abrasive cleaners and scrubbers.
Use a dry soft, lint free cloth for dusting, or slightly dampen the cloth with mild soap and water for cleaning. Wipe the surface dry and using a damp cloth.
These are the recommended or suggested methods of cleaning but Paul Brayton Designs is not responsible for damage incurred while cleaning. Always test the cleaning method on a hidden area of the furniture piece. For serious damage or stains, contact a professional upholstery or leather cleaner.
Tables should be inspected and maintained regularly by tightening screws and bolts, inspecting casters and glides for damage, and inspecting all moving parts for wear and tear.
